Sherry Laymon is an independent scholar and author residing in Hot
Springs National Park, AR. The daughter of an Arkansas Delta farming
family, Sherry Laymon has lived all over the state, including Star City,
Heber Springs, Little Rock, Jonesboro, and Hot Springs. Laymon has
taught math and history for many years at several Arkansas colleges.
Having received a doctorate degree in heritage studies from Arkansas
State University, she is working on her fourth book on Arkansas history
and has begun researching two additional projects.
